Providing Artwork

• Vector based artwork, all fonts converted to outlines, no embedded bitmaps (gif, jpg, png, tif)
• Vector art is created using vector illustration software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, and CorelDRAW, among others.
• Acceptable file formats: pdf, eps, .ai, .cdr, .cmx
• Unacceptable file formats: .gif, .jpg, .png, .tif, .doc, .xls, .ppt
• Art touchups and rebuilds, minimum $31.25 (G)
• Minimum font size is 7 pt and minimum line weight is .5pt
• Art is kept on file for a maximum of 2 years.

Note: Any art items that do not meet minimum specifications are at risk for not reproducing well, or at all. This includes delicate or undersized fonts, minute registration or trademarks, and thin or tiny graphic details. A registration mark (®) or trademark (®) should be no smaller than .031″ (or .787 mm) in diameter, with a .1 pt stroke added.

Silkscreen Printing

• Silkscreen setup charge: US $15 (G); Canada $16.80 (G)

• Imprint color change charge: US $15 (G); Canada $16.80 (G)
• 100% black and white art, no halftones or grays
• Free PMS color matching as close as possible on orders over 1,000 pcs, orders less than 1,000 pcs: US $9.38 (G), Canada $10.53 (G)

Production time: 5 business days standard and begins upon the receipt of the complete order (PO, artwork, proper payment, and proof approval if required)

2-Color Printing

• Available on select plastic pens only, look for the 2 color icon on the product pages
• Artwork must meet production specifications and be approved prior to order submission
• 2 screen setup charges: US $15 (G) each, Canada $16.80 (G) each
  Art kept on file for 2 years maximum.
• Minimum quantity: 1,000 pcs
• Run charges per pen: US: 1,000-4,999 pcs $0.15 (G) ea., 5,000+ pcs $0.10 (G) ea.; Canada: 1,000-4,999 pcs $0.17 (G) ea., 5,000+ pcs $0.11 (G) ea.
• Preproduction proof required on all new orders

Production time: 5 business days and begins upon receipt of the complete order (PO, artwork, proper payment, and approval of preproduction proof). Additional time required for larger orders.

Full Color Imprints

• Available on select plastic and metal pen styles
• Unlimited colors and gradients or transitional colors are acceptable provided they are not over saturated
• Our color print process uses standard CMYK colors to make the spectrum. Every printed color is made up of percentages of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. We do not use actual Pantone color inks. PMS colors are matched by using the CMYK process and are reasonably accurate. But due to the nature of the process, matched colors can appear different than actual spot colors.
• Choose pen colors that complement the imprint to avoid issues with contrast and readability. White barrel pens offer the best canvas to work with. Choose the right combination of pen color and imprint colors to achieve the highest contrast for optimum readability.

Laser Engraving

• Laser logo setup: US $45 (G), Canada $50.40 (G) Art kept on file for 2 years maximum.
• 100% black and white art, no halftones or grays
• FREE straight line engraving with one of our fonts (see list below)
• Individual personalization: US $0.38 (G) ea., Canada $0.43 (G) ea., provide all names in a Word or Excel file
• If personalization on second side (logo on first side) US $0.69 (G) ea., Canada $0.77 (G) ea.
• Second side: US $0.31 (G) ea., Canada $0.36 (G) ea.
• Engraving location: Barrel (default) location will be used unless cap is specified and an available location

Production time: 5 business days standard and begins upon the receipt of the complete order (PO, artwork, proper payment, and proof approval if required). All laser engraved pens are shipped individually cellophaned.

Hub Revolution® Laser Engraving

• Increases the laser logo engraving height up to 7/8″ depending on the pen and availability.
• Laser logo setup: US $45 (G), Canada $50.40 (G) Art kept on file for 2 years maximum.
• Run charge is per location per pen: US $0.50 (G) or $1.00 per pen/pencil set (G), Canada $0.56 (G) or $1.12 per pen/pencil set (G)

Photo Dome Pens

• Artwork should be in full color and of good quality

Pencils

• Setup charge of US $15 (G); Canada $16.80 (G) Art kept on file for 2 years maximum.
• Imprint color change charge of $15 (G)
• 100% black and white vector art only, no halftones or grays
• Unless otherwise specified by our customers, we place all pencil imprints to the far right of the imprint area. This allows for a longer imprint life as the pencil is sharpened.
• Please note: Silkscreened Foreman Pencil imprints are enlarged to fill either maximum height or maximum width, unless otherwise directed by the customer.
• 1202H, 5202, 2202: In-house typesetting is limited to Helvetica font. See individual product descriptions for character count.
• Second side imprints: 5202 Carpenter Pencil only, $0.15 each (A)
• Please note: Production time for Carpenter pencils is 10 days

Decoration Location

Printed and digital representation of products’ imprint location is approximate. The final printed product may show some variation in the actual location.
